PATTERN Risk Assessment
In developing the new risk tool, PATTERN (the Prisoner Assessment Tool Targeting Estimated Risk and Needs), emphasis was placed on a system that accurately measures an inmate's change during incarceration, and provides opportunities for inmates to reduce their risk scores during periodic reassessments. Currently, PATTERN version 1.3 is being used.
