(BOP) - President Trump has appointed Deline R. (Dee) Reardon to be a member of the Federal Prison Industries (FPI) Board of Directors. Mrs. Reardon is the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Supply Chain Integration and serves as a principal advisor to the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Logistics and Materiel Readiness. She is dedicated to ensuring maximum readiness of weapon systems and excellent warfighter support. She is responsible for development of the Department of Defense's logistics strategy, overall supply chain integration, and global supply chain management policy, overseeing $90 billion of inventory and inventory management practices, asset visibility, distribution, and disposal as well as obsolescence and anti-counterfeit strategies and execution.
As a member of FPI's Presidentially appointed six-person Board, Mrs. Reardon will represent the Secretary of Defense in overseeing one of the Bureau's most important reentry programs. With the Board's other five members, Mrs. Reardon will help to ensure that FPI effectively carries out its mission of protecting society and reducing crime by preparing inmates for successful reentry through job training. The Bureau and FPI welcome Mrs. Reardon and look forward to the contributions she will make as a Board Member.
