BOP Volunteers

Always Needed. Forever Appreciated.

BOP Volunteers

(BOP) - As National Volunteer Month comes to a close, we at the Federal Bureau of Prisons (Bureau) want to take this opportunity to recognize and thank all of our volunteers for their invaluable contributions to our mission.

Every day, generous volunteers from many walks of life donate their time and talents to serve people in our care. Volunteers are essential in fostering positive change and assisting with reentry efforts, whether they are teaching a skill, offering mentorship, or simply being there for someone who needs it. The Bureau is truly grateful for the hard work and dedication of our volunteers; their efforts are yielding positive results.

We are always on the lookout for more volunteers. With so many individuals in our care, we are constantly in need of new volunteers to join our team. There is a place for everyone, whether you are a teacher, counselor, mentor, or just someone who cares. We encourage anyone who is interested in volunteering to explore the many options provided by the Bureau of Prisons.

With the support of volunteers, the Bureau provides a wide range of resources and programs-vocational training, health and wellness, and religious services, to name a few. We are certain that you can find a meaningful way to share your knowledge and real-life skills to help make a difference.
