Eric Williams
Eric Williams is the Regional Director for the Western Region. Mr. Williams began his career with the Federal Bureau of Prisons in 2003 as a Correctional Officer at FCC Beaumont (TX). He went on to serve in positions of increasing responsibility, including Case Manager at USP Beaumont, Unit Manager at FCI Fairton (NJ), Executive Assistant at MCC Chicago (IL), and Associate Warden at FCI Sandstone (MN) and FCI Greenville (IL). He later served as Warden at FCI Florence (CO), FCI Greenville, and MCFP Springfield (MO), before being appointed Senior Deputy Regional Director for the North Central Region in 2024. In January 2026, Williams transferred to the Western Region to serve as Acting Regional Director before being officially appointed as Regional Director for the Western Region in May 2026.
As Regional Director (RD), Mr. Williams oversees operations across 18 facilities, including three United States Penitentiaries and three Federal Correctional Complexes. He is responsible for managing more than 4,400 employees and ensuring the custody and care of approximately 17,000 inmates.
RD Williams earned his degree in Criminal Justice, with a minor in Psychology, from Eastern New Mexico University. He has been a member of the Senior Executive Service since 2020.
